A laptop or personal computer (PC) is widely used in education for preparing attractive and effective slide presentations for classroom teaching and lectures. Teachers can also download educational videos from the internet and embed them into PowerPoint slides to improve students’ understanding.

Steps for Preparing PowerPoint Presentations

GENERAL INSTRUCTION

1. Open Presentation Software

Use presentation software such as:

• Microsoft PowerPoint

• Google Slides

2. Create Slides

• Choose a suitable template/design

• Add title and content slides

• Insert text, images, tables, charts, and diagrams

• Use animations and transitions when needed

3. Organize the Content

• Arrange points clearly

• Use simple language and readable fonts

• Highlight important concepts using colours and visuals

 

DETAILED STEPS FOR CREATING SLIDES

Open Microsoft PowerPoint

• Click Blank Presentation

• Select the title slide layout

• Type the title and subtitle

• Click Home → New Slide to add slides

• Choose the required slide layout

• Enter text in the text boxes

• Click Insert to add pictures, charts, tables, or shapes

• Click Design to choose a theme or background

  • Use Animations and Transitions for effects

• Click Insert → Video to add videos if needed

• Click File → Save As to save the presentation

• Click Slide Show → From Beginning to start the presentation
